Deaths of NJ Couple Inside Home Ruled a Murder-Suicide

The deaths of a southern New Jersey couple whose bodies were found inside their home last week have been ruled a murder-suicide.

Burlington County Prosecutor Robert Bernardi announced the finding on Monday.

Bernardi said the investigation revealed 42-year-old Craig Hike of Maple Shade fatally shot his 39-year-old wife, Nicole, before taking his own life in their Arlington Avenue home on Friday.

Bernardi said a relative called police shortly after 9 p.m. Friday after finding the couple in their bedroom. An autopsy conducted Sunday determined both died from gunshot wounds.

Further details on the deaths were not disclosed.
