Fire Claims Woman, Kids Escape

Authorities in central Pennsylvania say a woman died in a house fire that another woman and two young children were able to escape.

The Luzerne County coroner's office said 52-year-old Michelle Dzoch was pronounced dead at the scene of Thursday's 10:50 a.m. blaze in Conyngham Township.

Deputy Fire Marshal Karri Dobson said the blaze started on the second floor of the home, where the victim's body was found.

Three firefighters were treated for injuries at the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
