Bucks County Day Care Provider's Husband Faces Decade's Old Molestation Charges

The husband of a Bucks County day care provider faces sexual assault charges after a woman came forward with allegations stemming from when she was a girl.

Falls Township Police charged Harry Lawrence III Tuesday after the woman said the now-54-year-old Yardley, Pennsylvania man molested her when she was 9 or 10 years old and being cared for at Little Joys Day Care, which was in Bristol Township before moving to Falls Township. Lawrence’s wife owned and operated the day care, said police.

The woman told investigators she would go to the day care on Vernon Road on days she didn’t have school from 2000 to 2003. While at the day care, she said that Lawrence molested her between six to 12 times, said a criminal complaint obtained from Falls Township Police.

The assaults began with Lawrence placing the girl in his lap and progressed to bare skin groping and fondling, the victim told police.

A judge arraigned Lawrence on indecent assault and molestation charges and sent him to county jail on $250,000 bail, according to court records. No attorney information was available for Lawrence.

Investigators wanted to make sure there are no other victims and asked anyone with information to please contact Det. Reeves at 215-302-3305 or by email.
