Woman Kills Father, Boyfriend Helps Bury Him in Shallow Grave: AG

A daughter is accused of killing her father and burying him in a shallow grave in South Jersey.

The woman and her boyfriend are facing extradition from Maryland to face charges stemming from the death of her father.

Relatives of 61-year-old Michael Dixey reported him missing on Oct. 3, according to state Office of the Attorney General.

State Police say a review of his financial records led detectives to become suspicious of his 32-year-old daughter, Kandice, and her 24-year-old boyfriend, Norman Kacewich.

The Fairfield Township, N.J., residents were arrested in Elkton, Md., on theft charges related to the use of Michael Dixey's credit card on Tuesday.

Detectives recovered a body in a shallow grave not far from Dixey's home on Wednesday. On Friday, officials identified the body as Dixey. They also say he died from strangulation.

Kandice Dixey is charged with murder and her boyfriend is charged with desecration of human remains. Dixey’s bail was set at $300,000 while her boyfriend was held on $25,000 bail.
