This is a danger zone around Dauphin and Broad in North Philly, according to a new report.
An Open Letter to the people of Dauphin Street near Broad:
Congratulations! You have joined an exclusive group, one with only 24 other members. The company you now keep was pretty impressive -- cities like Chicago, Miami and Cincinnati were also part of the exclusive group.
It wasn't easy to be a member of the “25 Most Dangerous Neighborhoods In America." But, with 199 predicted annual violent crimes, you more than qualify for 16th spot on the list.
And who can overlook the one in nine chance of becoming a victim on your streets?
The data used to award these streets was complied NeighborhoodScout.com and was based off FBI statistics from all 17,000 local law enforcement agencies.
Now, you know the problem.
The question is -- how are you going to fix it?
