Pedestrian Struck by Car in Bucks County in Critical Condition, Driver Suspected of DUI

A man is in critical condition after he was struck by a suspected drunk driver in Bucks County early Thursday morning.

The incident happened about 2 a.m. at the intersection of Forrest and Brown Avenues in Bensalem.

According to the Bensalem Police Department, a 21-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car and suffered a severe head injury.

He was taken to Aria Health Torresdale Hospital in critical condition. His identity was not immediately released.

The driver stayed at the scene. He was taken to the Bensalem Police headquarters for suspicion of DUI as alcohol appears to have been a factor.

So far, no charges have been filed.
