Jurors have ended their second day of deliberations in the murder trial of a New Jersey man accused of killing his 3-year-old son because the boy had become an impediment to his relationship with a teenage girlfriend.
The panel deliberated for about six hours Wednesday and took another look at David Creato's interview with detectives. The judge also said they could listen again to a conversation secretly recorded by the boy's mother, but due to time constraints that will happen Thursday. [[424171584, C]]
Creato maintains his son, Brendan, wandered away from his Haddon Township home in October 2015. The boy's pajama-clad body was found hours later about a mile from the home.
Prosecutors say Creato had the motive to kill his son. But Creato's lawyer argued prosecutors didn't show he was guilty.
