Authorities are investigating the possible drowning of a Delaware woman.
Saturday morning, police say that 52-year-old Charlotte Pritchard was found unconscious in the backyard swimming pool of her Harrington home by her daughter.
The daughter called 9-1-1 after trying to remove Pritchard from the pool.
EMS responded to the scene and began CPR on Pritchard before taking her to the Milford Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
An autopsy will be performed to determine her exact cause of death.
The Delaware State Police believe that Pritchard was in the pool for about 45 minutes before she was found. They continue to investigate.
