Del. Man Helps Police Catch Burglary Suspect

A concerned citizen confronts two suspicious men after spotting them in the yard of his neighbor's Wilmington home.

Michael Reynolds, 19, of Wilmington, Delaware has been charged with burglary after a concerned citizen reported seeing Reynolds and another man enter his neighbor's yard on Tuesday, according to New Castle County Police.

The man saw the suspects approach the home along the 2000 block of Oak Lane Road just after 9 a.m., police say.

A short time later, he became concerned because he didn't see the men leave the yard, according to police, so he approached the home.

The man told investigators a sliding glass door was open and one of the suspects, who was standing on a deck, ran away.

Seconds later, he says the second suspect ran out of the house and fled as well.

The man gave chase but lost sight of the suspects, police say.

Reynolds was spotted by police a short time later walking in the area of Fairfax Boulevard and Julian Road.

Reynolds was charged with burglary in the second degree, felony theft and conspiracy in the second degree.

He was arraigned and released on $3000 unsecured bail and ordered to have no contact with the victim.

Police are still searching for the second suspect.
