The person who works to protect school kids from the dangers of traffic was struck by a car Wednesday morning, police say.
A female crossing guard who works at the intersection of Bingham Street and Bleigh Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia was struck by a vehicle at about 8:40 a.m. Wednesday.
Authorities say that the woman’s vital signs were stable when she was taken to Frankford Torresdale Hospital with leg injuries.
