Cremated Remains of Dogs Stolen in Burglary

A Hamilton Township woman is asking for the ashes of her two dogs to be returned

The cremated ashes of two beloved pets were stolen from a Hamilton Township home on Monday.

Kathleen Sartorio tells NBC40 that she left the house for about an hour to run errands and when she got home, she realized someone had broken into her house.

She says the ashes were in two boxes, engraved with the names of her two dogs-- Bam Bam and Lucky, who died a few years back.

"It's very sad when you lose them and then for someone to steal them. I just don't understand how they can be so cold," Sartorio told NBC40.

A box of inexpensive jewelry was also taken, but that doesn't bother Sartorio as much.

She is asking the person who stole the ashes to please return them.
