Missing Man's Body Pulled From Creek

The body of a missing 24-year-old man was found in a Pennsylvania creek over the weekend.

WNEP-TV reports a swimmer found East Stroudsburg resident Anthony Luvando dead in the Brodhead Creek in Stroud Township, which is about 80 miles north of Philadelphia, on Sunday afternoon. He had been reported missing by his mother a day earlier.

The Monroe County coroner's office says it appears Luvando had been in the water for more than a day.

The cause of death wasn't immediately known and an autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday.

This wasn’t the only time over the weekend that crews responded to a Pennsylvania waterway. On Sunday, two people needed to be rescued after falling into a Lehigh County quarry.
