A Philadelphia police officer was struck by a car during a traffic stop Tuesday morning, authorities say.
The accident happened during a traffic stop at 11th and Filbert streets shortly after 10 a.m. According to a Philadelphia police spokesman, the driver put the car in reverse instead of park and hit the officer.
The officer was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, authorities say.
