    To help battle the heat, Philadelphia opened up spraygrounds across the city last Friday.

    A sprayground is a playground that is also equipped with water features like sprinklers, jets, spray poles, and splash pads. All this entertainment makes it a great place for kids to cool off during the hot summer days.

    Spraygrounds will be open from 11 a.m.until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon until 5 p.m. on Saturdays. Hours may vary on certain days.
