Another Inmate Escapes Delaware Facility

For the second time in the past few months, an inmate escaped from a Wilmington, Delaware facility.

Kenneth Truitt, 19, escaped from from the Plummer Community Corrections Center along Todds Lane Thursday, said the Delaware Department of Corrections. He was serving a conviction for carrying a concealed weapon.

Authorities asked anyone who spots Truitt -- who stands 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds -- to call local police or 1-800-542-9524.

Back in June, security footage from the facility showed Percel Roberts of Newark climbing a fence, said the state department of corrections. And, last year, three people escaped the facility by jumping the wall.

Community Corrections Centers are Level 4 facilities where the Department of Correction oversees offenders who are transitioning back into the community. Offenders are allowed to the leave the facility to go to work, seek jobs or attend approved treatment sessions, said officials.
