Construction Workers Injured in South Jersey

Two construction workers were injured when they fell through two floors at a townhouse project in southern New Jersey.

Toms River police say the men were working on the third floor when a section of the floor there collapsed around 1:25 p.m. Tuesday. The men plummeted to the second floor, which also gave way, and they eventually landed on top of a pile of construction debris on the first floor.

Both men were injured in the accident and were being treated at hospitals, but their names and further details on their conditions were not disclosed.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
