Community Calls for Changes to “Dangerous” Road Where Two Teens Were Hit

Residents want increased safety measures along Conestoga Road, after two teens were hit while waiting for the bus.

Dozens of people expressed their concerns about a dangerous stretch of road in Radnor Township, at a traffic safety meeting Thursday night.

The meeting comes after two Radnor Township High School students were hit on Oct. 31, while waiting for the school bus on the 600 block of Conestoga Road.

Residents are calling on police and PennDOT for increased safety measures, such as lights, signs, or even speed bumps along that curve of Conestoga Road.

15-year-old Kelson D'Ambra was critically hurt in the Oct. 31 accident. The second teen, 15-year old Mary Elizabeth O'Reilly-Gindhart is now out of the hospital.

That accident is still under investigation.
