Coffee Spill Leads to Shot Being Fired Outside Delaware Deli: Police

A deli clerk is facing criminal charges after police say an argument over spilled coffee led to the firing of a gunshot.

Dover police say a clerk at the Fulton Deli, 58-year-old Mahyoub Ali, got into an argument with a victim over the spilt coffee just before 9 a.m. Saturday. Police say the victim left the store, but Ali followed him outside and fired a shot into the air.

Police say Ali has been charged with reckless endangering, aggravated menacing and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.
