Jury to Deliberate in Kutztown Univ. Murder Trial

Drunk, obnoxious, yes. Killer? No.

During Monday's closing arguments, the attorney for one of the Allentown brothers on trial for the beating death of Kutztown University student Kyle Quinn says Terry Kline is not a killer, according to The Morning Call.

Jack McMahon, a high-profile defense attorney from Philadelphia, said during his closing argument Monday, that his client, Terry Kline, was clearly drunk and obnoxious the night Kyle Quinn was killed, but said Kline can't be held responsible for the homicide.

McMahon asked jurors not to let their sympathy for Kyle Quinn and his family cloud their judgment.

Friends Remember Kyle Quinn

Lawyers gave closing arguments in a courtroom packed with family members and young adults who are friends of the Klines and Quinn, of Warminster, Bucks County, according to The Reading Eagle.

Brothers Kenneth and Terry Kline are charged with third degree murder in the beating death of Quinn in September of last year.

They say they never laid a hand on the victim.

Prosecutors accuse the Kline brothers of sparking the confrontation.

A third man, Timothy Gearhart, has already pleaded guilty.  He admitted to hitting 19-year old Quinn in the head with a wooden board.
