People Return to City Hall After Fire Alarm

People rushed out of Philadelphia’s City Hall this morning after an alarm went off.

The cause of the alarm around 10:20 a.m. Tuesday wasn’t immediately clear but a spokesman from the Nutter Administration told NBC10.com that it was a fire alarm that went off.

Everyone was rushed out of the building for a short period of time before being let back in before 11 a.m., according to firefighters.

Mayor Michael Nutter was holding a press briefing at the time.

An accidental fire alarm appeared to be responsible for the evacaution, according to Philadelphia Fire Department Exceutive Chief Richard Davison.

No injuries were reported.
