Christie to Decide on Medical Marijuana Bill for Kids

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will decide by Friday whether to sign into law a bill that would make it easier for children to obtain medical marijuana.

Christie made that promise to the father of a 2 1/2-year-old girl who has a rare form of epilepsy during a campaign appearance in Scotch Plains on Wednesday.

Brian Wilson asked Christie why he hasn't signed the bill that would ease restrictions for youngsters.

The Record newspaper reports Christie told the father, "I know you think it's simple, but it's not."

Meanwhile, New Jersey's lone medical marijuana supplier reopens Thursday.

Greenleaf Compassion Center in Montclair has been closed for seven weeks while its owners replenished their depleted supply of pot.
