Caught on Cam: Police Arrest DUI and Hit-and-Run Suspect

A man was arrested after he allegedly drove drunk with a child inside his vehicle and caused property damage in an incident that was caught on video.

On Monday at 6 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police responded to a report of an erratic driver in a red Chevrolet Silverado that had struck several mail boxes and guide wires to a Verizon pole on Old Post Road at Ramble Wood Lane in Washington Township, Lehigh County.

Troopers caught up to the suspect, identified as 67-year-old Edward Clark, Jr. of South Whitehall Township, driving the Chevrolet on Mauch Chunk Road in the area of Schadt Avenue. Investigators say a juvenile was also in the vehicle with him at the time.

Troopers were able to pull the vehicle over and took Clark, who was allegedly intoxicated, into custody. Clark is charged with DUI, endangering the welfare of children and seven summary violations.
