An 11-year-old boy told Upper Darby Police that a man tried to abduct him at about 8 a.m. Friday, but after an investigation police found that this was not true.
If the kid's story had been true, this would have been the 6th case of an unknown man in Upper Darby luring or exposing himself to a child.
The 11-year-old boy told police that a man tried to take him in the area of 7039 Radbourne Road in Upper Darby.
On Tuesday, a fifth kid came forward telling police that he was approached by a man near his bus stop at Radbourne and Church streets. The man offered him a ride, the 14-year-old told police.
On Monday, a man matching the same description as the others allegedly called out to a teen girl who was walking to Upper Darby High School. Both times, the suspect was in a blue or green-colored minivan, police say.
In two of the incidents, police say the man exposed and touched himself in front of the kids.
"He was close enough that she could see his genitals exposed, and he was masturbating," Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said about the teen girl’s case. "This guy is sick but he's also dangerous."
The suspect is described as a heavy-set, white male with brown hair.
