Sexual Predator Targets Teen Boy on Facebook: Police

Upper Dublin Police arrested a man Friday morning for unlawful contact or communication with a minor, attempted corruption of minors, and other offenses.

Scott Nemtzow, 58, allegedly contacted a 16-year-old boy through facebook and repeatedly sent him messages containing his number.

The boy reported the messages to the Upper Dublin Police Department who began to investigate the incident. Montgomery County Detective Mary Anders took over the boy's facebook page and began communicating with Nemtzow in November.

Believing the facebook page still belonged to the boy, Nemtzow allegedly exchanged emails and began communicating with Detective Anders throughout November and December.

He reportedly asked Anders to meet him in person and sent her an email containing the link to a gay pornography site.

In January, police say Anders began communication with Nemtzow over Yahoo Instant Messenger. Nemtzow reportedly spoke about performing various sexual acts with Anders, still believing she was the teenage boy.

While wrapping up some of the conversations, Nemtzow allegedly asked Anders to change the chat settings so they would not be saved and asked for all conversations to be kept secret.

Police say Nemtzow asked Anders to meet Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. in Upper Dublin Township where they scheduled a decoy officer to be present.

Nemtzow allegedly motioned to the decoy upon arriving at the scene and was arrested and taken into custody.

He is being held on $150,000 bail at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

This is not the first arrest for Nemtzow who was charged with multiple sexual offenses against a child in July of 2005 but was acquitted by a jury in December of 2006.
