Chester County Family Offers Reward for Dog Who Went Missing During Fire

UPDATE: The family's beloved dog has died after she was hit by a car.

A local family who were victims of a massive apartment fire in West Chester Thursday are offering a reward to anyone who finds their beloved dog, Sadie.

Sadie, a black Lab-Pointer mix, was last seen by neighbors at the Wyntre Brook apartments on Phoenixville Pike on April 2 as crews battled a massive blaze that destroyed most of the building.

Neighbors ran after the 60-pound dog, but were unable to catch her, according to Jen Leary, a representative from the Red Paw Emergency Relief Team.

Now, Sadie's family is offering a $500 reward for her safe return, said Leary.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sadie's owners, Mark or Taryn, at 484-995-6094 or 610-247-8597.

No one was injured in the fire and the cause remains under investigation.
