Cherry Hill Honors Local Hero

A local hero received a homecoming to remember Sunday afternoon in Cherry Hill.

The community held a ceremony for Airman First Class Brandon Goldstein who returned to his hometown after serving in Iraq.

The Yellow Ribbon Club, a local volunteer group that supports those in the armed forces as well as their families, organized the event.

Born and raised in Cherry Hill, Goldstein graduated from Cherry Hill High School East back in 2008 and attended Camden County College before joining the Air Force.

Sunday’s ceremony took place at 12 p.m. on Anders Drive. Friends and family gathered along the street, waving flags and cheering at ever chance.

Brandon was presented with a large medal and certificate of appreciation. It was a day that he’ll never forget.

“Its unreal,” said Brandon. “This is the best feeling I’ve ever felt.”
