The South Jersey woman accused in a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a 25-year-old woman as she walked along Route 70 in Cherry Hill, N.J. pleaded guilty in Camden County Superior Court Thursday.
Elisha Pollosco, 25, pleaded guilty to Knowingly Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Death, according to county prosecutors.
Pollosco, who is from Berlin, N.J., could face up to 10 years in prison for her role in the Sept. 15, 2011 crash that killed Binh Tsan.
Tsan was walking with her fiancé Michael Medina during her lunch break along westbound Route 70 near Ranoldo Terrace when they were hit, officials said.
Tsan would die from her injuries a few days later. Medina was injured but has since recovered, prosecutors said.
The driver made no attempt to stop, witnesses and officials said.
Pollosco took steps in the days following the crash to cover her tracks including purchasing a large window sticker, according to prosecutors.
Pollosco was arrested Sept. 18 on the 200 block of Cross Keys Road after police received a tip call from a person who recognized the Pontiac Grand Prix shown on TV broadcasts, officials said.
Police went to Pollosco's home where they say they found a silver 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix parked in the driveway with damage consistent with the accident.
Pollosco will be sentenced in March.
Her older sister Gretchen Pollosco was also arrested in September, accused of hindering Elisha's arrest. The elder Pollosco's case remained open, prosecutors said.
