Caught on Camera: Thieves Steal Motorcycles

Police are on the look out for five men that they say robbed a motorcycle store in Berks County on Sunday.

Surveillance video shows five men, dressed in dark pants and hooded sweatshirts, breaking into Martin Motor Sports in Boyertown around 4 a.m.

The thieves first park a white van outside of the store.

As the men get out, one man tries to block the video cameras outside, though his face can still be seen on surveillance video.

The crooks then unload a ramp from the van before smashing into the store with a sledgehammer.

They then steal two Yamaha bikes, two Suzuki bikes and $13,000 worth of jackets and gear, placing it all inside their van.

The thieves are even shown loading a mannequin inside the truck because, according to the store’s owner Dennis Martin, it had on expensive merchandise.

Martin released part of the surveillance video in order to help police catch the thieves.

He claims that Sunday wasn’t the first time his store was robbed and that thieves stole bikes and clothes from his store last year.

“It’s heartbreaking on so many levels,” said Martin.

“As a small business person you work so hard to try to make end’s meet.”
