Caught on Cam: Worker Pulls Knife on Armed Robber

Surveillance video captured a Dunkin Donuts employee grabbing a knife as an armed man who tried to rob the store flees.

Philadelphia Police are on the hunt for a man caught on surveillance video trying to rob a local Dunkin Donuts with a knife.

It happened back on April 27 at the Dunkin Donuts on 330 Oregon Avenue. At 11:05 p.m., an unknown man was caught on camera placing an order. As the employee turned around, the man pulled out a knife and demanded $50. The suspect then fled the store as the employee grabbed a 15-inch knife in self-defense.

Police say the suspect entered a SEPTA bus traveling west on Oregon Avenue.

The suspect is described as a thin white male between 30 to 35 years of age, standing at 6-feet. He was last seen wearing a Grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
