Police are on the hunt for a robber who was captured on video lunging at a clerk a romantic motel in Cherry Hill.

Investigators say an unidentified man entered the Inn of the Dove Motel on the 700 block of Cuthbert Boulevard around 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday.

“He was saying, ‘If you think I’m a bad guy, I’m going to show you what a bad guy is,’ said Anna Hernandez, the victim’s co-worker who wasn’t working at the time of the robbery. “He took the master keys for the rooms and dragged her out of the office.”

Hernandez says the suspect tried to force her co-worker into one of the rooms but she managed to escape.

“Thank God she was on the phone with someone,” Hernandez said. “She was telling them to call the police and that’s when he got scared.”

The suspect allegedly grabbed $400 from the register and fled on Cuthbert Boulevard.

Hernandez says she’s using a wooden stick for protection until the motel officials replace the office window with something more secure.

“I’m petrified right now,” she said.

The suspect is described as a 35-year-old man with a full beard.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, please call Detective Pete Benedetti at 856-432-8835.

The Inn of the Dove is a romantic-themed motel for adult couples.
