Two teenagers are recovering but lucky to be alive after a car accident in Chester County.

It happened on the 100 block of Cadmus Road in South Coventry around 2:45 p.m. Investigators say the car somehow lost control and crashed into two trees. The teens were trapped inside the vehicle until fire crews arrived on the scene and were able to pull them out. They suffered moderate injuries, according to officials.

Video from local photographer Tom Kelly shows that things could have been much worse for the teens. The trees that the car hit appeared to have stopped the vehicle from falling into a creek below.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
