Caught on Cam: Armed Robber Targets Deli

Philadelphia Police are on the hunt for a robber caught on surveillance video targeting a local Deli.

Philadelphia Police are on the hunt for a robber caught on surveillance video targeting a local Deli.
It happened last Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Mendoza Deli on the 300 block of West Ruscomb Street. Police say the suspect entered the deli armed with a gun, pointed his weapon at an employee working inside and demanded money, speaking in both English and Spanish.

The employee opened the cash register and gave the suspect an unknown amount of cash, according to police. The suspect then fled the deli and entered a 1992-1994 Gold Honda Accord 4-door driven by another man, according to investigators. Police say the vehicle fled east on Ruscomb Street then north on 2nd Street.

The suspect is described as a thin Hispanic male standing at 5-foot-3. He was last seen wearing a knit ski cap, blue jeans, a long sleeve navy blue Dickie shirt and black sneakers. If you see the suspect, do not approach him. Instead call 911 or 215-686-8477.
