Cars Torched in Mt. Airy

The owner of two of the torched cars tells NBC10 this maybe a feud over parking spaces

Three cars have been set on fire in the past three days at the Princeton Gardens apartment complex on the 7300 block of Germantown Avenue in Mt. Airy.

The first incident involving a blue Volkswagen happened on Wednesday. A 2008 Mercedes and 2010 Chevy Camaro, belonging to the same person, were set on fire just after 5 a.m. Saturday morning, police said.

It appears the car arsons maybe the result of feud between neighbors.

"We had a nasty note on one of our cars the other day and we moved the car and we don't know-- seems like it's over parking spaces," the owner of the torched cars told NBC10's Byron Scott. He did not want to be identified.

No arrests have been made.
