Gun, Ski Mask Found on Hit-&-Run Victim: Police

Authorities are investigating after they found a gun and a ski mask on a pedestrian who was struck by a car in Philadelphia early Sunday morning.

A man was running near Whitaker and Wyoming avenues in the Feltonville section of the city around 12:30 a.m. when a car struck him, police said.

Responding officers found a gun and a ski mask underneath the victim, who was rushed to Temple University Hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

Investigators have not yet released a description of the striking vehicle, but they said the weapon and mask found at the scene match those used in an armed robbery that occurred nearby.

Authorities are working to determine if the two crimes are connected.
