Police say a 77-year-old woman is dead after a camper trailer rolled over her while she and her husband were working on it at a Pennsylvania campground.

The Williamsport Sun-Gazette reports the accident happened at the Cowanesque Lake Topkins Campground around 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

The campground is located in Tioga County, just south of the New York border.

Investigators say Alice Faye Erickson was working on the brakes of the camper trailer her husband was hauling with a truck. The brakes of the trailer came loose as she was lying on the ground and the vehicle ran her over.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

With summer here thousands of Pennsylvanians are expected to camp in the next few months. There are hundreds of campgrounds in Pennsylvania, according to the state’s visitor’s bureau.
