Authorities say a woman was shot and killed when gunfire erupted after a South Jersey street fight.
A Camden, N.J. man was wounded in the shooting, while another man was injured in the fight. But it's not clear what sparked the brawl, which broke out late Monday night.
Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk says 31-year-old Maylen Colon of Camden was shot around 10:50 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The wounded man, identified as a 26-year-old Camden resident, remained hospitalized Tuesday in critical but stable condition.
Faulk said a 23-year-old Camden resident was struck in the head by a blunt object. But further details on the resident's injuries were not disclosed.
Authorities believe that after the fight ended, one participant left the scene but returned with a handgun and started firing.
