Caesars Briefly Evacuated for Fire

The fire began in a second-floor electrical room.

No one was injured when an electrical fire led to the brief evacuation of the casino at Caesars Atlantic City.

Smoke could be seen outside the building early Thursday.

Fire Chief Dennis Brooks tells The Press of Atlantic City the fire began in a second-floor electrical room. Brooks says there was a bang when a worker turned on a switch.

Power was turned off and firefighters got the smoke out of the casino.
