Hot off its 100th consecutive sellout, Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, has been voted the No. 1 major league venue in the United States, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

It all began years ago when a man named Red McGarry of Sports Travel and Tours organized a tour of the all the big league baseball parks in the country. Only nine people signed up, reports the Daily News.

This year about 1,200 baseball fans traveled and toured different ballparks, rating each venue in 19 different categories -- everything from atmosphere to park access -- with grades ranging from excellent to poor.

CBP dominated with 12 "excellents" and seven "very goods."

The Pittsburgh PiratesPNC Park came in at second while the new Yankee Stadium came in fourth, according to the paper.
