Most AC Electric Customers Will Have Power Wednesday

Crews are working tirelessly to restore power to thousands in New Jersey.

Atlantic City Electric announced some very good news for New Jersey customers who have been without power since Saturday's deadly storms -- the majority of powerless customers will have their power restored by midnight Wednesday.

"The devastation to our system was extensive, but we have made significant progress in our effort to fully restore electricity to every customer affected by this storm,” said Vince Maione, Atlantic City Region President.

As of Wednesday morning, about 38,000 customers were still without power -- a significant improvement over the 206,000 homes and businesses that orginally reported outages.
