Fire at a local YMCA has left some parents without child care during their morning workout in Montgomery County Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out inside the child care facility at Abington YMCA at 1073 Old York Road just before 4 a.m.
The blaze was quickly placed under control, but Old York Road was shut down for more than an hour between Susquehanna Road and Adams Avenue due to police and fire activity.
"There's not a lot of visible damage externally, the damage is inside," said YMCA spokesperson Omoiye Kinney. "The fire broke out in one of the rooms in our child care center, so it was contained to that one room."
The YMCA daycare is closed until further notice while smoke and water damage is repaired.
The pool is also closed temporarily.
Workout facilities are open and all scheduled classes are in session.

No one was injured in the fire. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
