Man Holds Up Wawa

A possibly armed man held up an area Wawa store overnight.

The man burst into the Wawa along the 8800 block of Krewstown Road in the Bustleton section of Northeast Philadelphia around 12:30 a.m. Sunday and pointed what appeared to be a weapon at employees, according to Philadelphia Police.

The man, who was wearing a hoodie, got away with about $200 dollars, according to police.

No one was hurt.

Police poured over surveillance video in the hours after the theft in hopes it helps identify the suspect.

This was just the latest in a recent string of Wawa heists in Northeast Philly including some where the suspect(s) wore masks made popular by the Scream movies.
