The fire that destroyed a mascot pirate ship at an eastern Pennsylvania high school's football field was being investigated as a case of arson.
The 30-foot wooden ship was set on fire at the Palisades High School football field early Thursday morning, State police said.
A school spokeswoman said the ship was built several years ago with help from donations from families and local businesses.
