Burglary Caught by Wilmington Fire Chief's Cameras

A person breaking into vehicles parked near Wilmington's Haynes Park has been caught red-handed by security cameras belonging to a victim.

The News Journal reports one of the victims, Wilmington Fire Chief Anthony Goode, has posted several videos on his Twitter account of the Tuesday car burglaries. Goode warns people about the incident and asks for the public's assistance.

One of Goode's tweets says that in five minutes, the burglar broke through one of the vehicle's passenger windows, then fled into Haynes Park with expensive equipment.

Another video shows the burglary walking from Haynes Park, onto 30th Street, then south on Franklin street.

The newspaper couldn't reach Goode for comment.
