Burglars Target 20 Homes in Ocean City

According to police, there have been 20 residential burglaries in the town since the middle of February.

Police are investigating a rash of home break-ins in Ocean City, New Jersey.

According to police, there have been 20 residential burglaries in the town since the middle of February.

Police say the burglaries happened at the following locations at the following times:

  • Feb. 17-Feb. 23: 4 incidents on the 2600 block of Asbury Avenue
  • March 4-March 5: 7 incidents on the 1000 and 1100 blocks of Central and Wesley Avenues
  • March 8-March 9: 6 incidents on the 900 and 11- blocks of Central and Wesley Avenues
  • March 9: 3 incidents on the 900 block of Central Avenue

Police say all 20 burglaries involved forced entry through a window or door. They also say flat panel televisions were stolen in all 20 incidents and that most of the targeted homes were multi-family duplexes.
