Brother, Sister Killed in Crash Identified

Authorities have released the names of a teenage brother and sister killed in a rollover crash on a northeastern Pennsylvania expressway over the weekend.

Lackawanna County Coroner Timothy Rowland said 14-year-old Stephen Lebron III was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday on the McDade Expressway in Scranton.

Rowland said 13-year-old Fatima Lebron died several hours later at Geisinger Community Medical Center. Police said three other people were injured.

Capt. Glenn Thomas said the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered and slushy road.

Officials at Scranton School District and Northeast Intermediate School described both students as popular and said grief counselors had been made available to help other students deal with the tragedy.

The Main Avenue on-ramp was closed down for about three hours while crews cleaned up the wreck.
