Boys Robbed of Snow-Shoveling Money

Two kids hoping to make some extra cash shoveling out of this weekend's snowstorm were left out in the cold after being robbed.
Two 15-year-old boys were robbed of all the snow-shoveling money they earned Saturday by a man in a ski mask.
Gloucester Township Police responded to a report of an armed robbery that happened on the 200 block of Chestnut Street in Glendora, N.J.
A young man wearing a black ski mask, who was holding an unidentified object in his hand, approached Chris Aponte and Chuck Reiss and ordered them to the ground at about 6:20 p.m., according to police.
Because the boys thought the man had a gun, they both did what he asked them to, police said.
"Outta no where this guy comes and points something at [Chuck] and immediately I don't know what to do, but just stand there and he tells me to get on the ground," Aponte recalled.
The man took the money the boys had earned throughout the snowy day from their pockets and ran away, police said.
"It felt scary, because the guy came out of nowhere," said Reiss.
Police described the robber as a 17 to 19-year-old black male, 5’8” to 5’9”, wearing a ski mask, dark jeans and a jacket.
Neither teenager suffered any serious injuries.
