Boy's Drowning Death Was Revenge Over Divorce: Pros.

A western Pennsylvania prosecutor says a woman charged in the drowning death of her 2-year-old son in a Pittsburgh hotel killed the boy to get back at her husband during a bitter divorce.

Prosecutors are seeking a first-degree murder conviction against 34-year-old Sharon Flanagan of Inwood, W.Va. in the death of Steven Flanagan.

The toddler was found unconscious in a bathtub at the Green Tree hotel in July 2012.

Assistant District Attorney Lisa Pellegrini said Flanagan searched online for "leading cause of toddler death" and "why is Casey Anthony so popular?" on her computer weeks earlier.

Officials in West Virginia have said she had threatened to kill herself and the child in the past.

Defense attorney Blaine Jones said Tuesday the drowning was accidental and the child "was everything to her."
