Baby Boy Who Died in Day Care Shows No Signs of Obvious Trauma

Delaware State Police are investigating the death of a 10-month-old baby boy at a Millsboro day care.

Police say they got a 911 call about the baby Wednesday afternoon. A day care worker reported finding the baby unresponsive when trying to wake him from a nap. The baby was pronounced dead at a hospital soon after.

The Delaware Division of Forensic Science is expected to begin investigating Thursday how the baby died.

Master Cpl. Gary Fournier says there were no obvious signs of trauma on the baby. He says all the workers at the day care, Handy's Little Disciples, were interviewed but declined to discuss details.

The day care is unlisted and wasn't in online records at Delaware's Office of Child Care Licensing.
