Instead of getting him a time-out, 4-year-old Jesse Koczon’s crying fit about the fact that he can’t be the governor of New Jersey has gotten him a time-in – in the highest seat in the state.

Gov. Chris Christie will sign a proclamation Wednesday making little Jesse the state's honorary governor for the day.

The Old Bridge, N.J. boy is shown crying in the back seat of his parents’ car in a YouTube clip, lamenting the fact that he’s too small to be governor.

When Jesse’s mother Dawn Koczon asks him why he’s sobbing, he says, “Cause everyone is telling me I’m too small to be the governor of New Jersey.”

The video clip, which was shot on Election Day in November 2009, but recently uploaded to YouTube, got the attention of Christie.

Christie responded on Twitter last week: “Don't worry Jesse, people gave plenty of reasons why I couldn't be Governor, though being too small wasn't one of them.”

In addition to Christie’s tweet, Christie’s spokesman Kevin Roberts sent the Asbury Park Press a response saying:

"The Governor's Office has seen the video (possibly dozens of times by now) and really enjoyed it."
