A two-year-old boy who was allegedly taken by his father was found safe Saturday, according to police.
Investigators say they responded to a home on the 5500 block of Walnut Street about 3 a.m. Saturday for the report of someone trying to break into a home.
When officers arrived, the mother of two-year-old Jaiden Elliot told police his father, 25-year-old Jonathan Elliot, broke into the home, punched her in the face several times and then grabbed their son and left the home.
Jonathan Elliot drove away from the scene in a black newer model Nissan Altima with a Pennsylvania license plate number JKT-4916.
Police announced the boy was found safe shortly after 3 p.m. and will be returned to his mother. His father is still not in custody however and police continue to investigate.
